We were initially referred to Dave Beattie in 2013. The whistler real estate market could at best be described as confusing with unique zoning  and tax difficulties to understand. Dave is a true whistler local and really understands the market which he explains with ease; the real bonus is Dave's friendly and easy manner make real estate tours a pleasure. Dave helped us to buy our first Whistler home, and in turn sold that for us in only 2 weeks when we were ready to find our Whistler forever home. A true gentleman and professional. Dave was from the beginning extremely pro active, enthusiastic, and hard working.  He was like the "ever ready battery" with his energy, ideas, and encouragement and he never seemed to run out of steam.  He had an Open House at our place constantly.  While other houses in Blueberry, including a renovated one in our development (ours was in its original state) sat on the market for years, ours sold in 5 months. He did so many things to get the attention of other realtors and potential buyers.  His communication to us was constant and efficient. When things needed fixing in our place, he did many himself!

On a personal level, Dave helped us out enormously. We could not pack up because our dogs time with us is almost at an end, so Dave packed up our personal belongings, organized things to be sent to the "re use it" center, stuff for the garbage etc.  He phoned us constantly about what was personal and nostalgic and what he thought we had overlooked.  In other words his compassion was amazing.  He did it all because he saw how difficult our situation was here in Ontario. Everything arrived beautifully packed and in good condition.

Dave and I were introduced through a mutual friend and although we had met previously, it was not until our friend put the two of us together, that I knew Dave as a Realtor. We had two or three meetings where we looked at many comparable properties to establish a fair price, staged the house together and took photos for the web sites and advertising. He explained the documentation and went through selling process so that I was comfortable as we moved forward with listing the property.
Once the property was listed for sale, Dave was able to get me an offer in less than a week! We worked through the details together and even in this difficult market, we were able to get the Buyer to remove all the subject clauses and have the sale proceed. My only regret is that we did not meet earlier so that my purchase had been as easy and enjoyable as this sale. I would recommend Dave to anyone looking to buy or sell a property and I hope we will do business together in the future. I know I have a friend in Real Estate.
